Vedas are sacral poetry or poetic texts which are written as hymns for praising
and extolling or eulogizing gods. Eulogy in hymns are poetic epithets according
to which gods possess individual distinctive features and attributes. It is
possible to tell that mythological gods owing to epithets in Vedas possess not
only names but also personal properties and characters.
Heavenly gods in the context of Vedic myths are solar and lunar deities whose
epithets not only mean divine functions and properties but also qualities of
light or otherwise to tell optical parameters of celestial space.
Information on qualities of light in Vedas is uniform for all heavenly gods and
insufficient for identification of individual distinctive attributes. But
according to parities with planets and zodiacal signs in space of astrological
circle it is possible to identify optical parameters which correspond to
personal properties and characters of Vedic heavenly gods, that is shown on the chart.
Names of heavenly gods on the chart correspond to
sounds of speech and planets which are dominating and exalting in signs of zodiac. Read information about parities of heavenly Vedic gods with zodiacal signs and planets, also with letters of alphabet and sounds of speech of contemporary Russian language on the previous page in this section of website. Qualities of light or otherwise to tell poetic epithets of optical parameters of space are specified near to names of heavenly gods. I remind that translation of texts on pages of this website is performed by me, but I am not sure in correctness of semantic interpretation of words and conversion from Russian into English language. Read epithets of light в русских словах on parallel page. |

SURYA personifies bright and shrill sunlight which can blind
eyesight, because Sun exalts in zodiacal sign Aries.
MITRA personifies illuminative and blazing sunlight which fills
space of sky with all-embracing radiation, because Sun dominates in zodiacal sign Leo.
VISHNU personifies radiant and shining light which proceeds from
planet Jupiter as reflection of solar beams also as equivalent to radiation of
stars. Because planet Jupiter dominates in zodiacal sign Sagittarius as
astronomical gas giant which can be considered as light source which is
commensurable with stars.
It is necessary to tell that light of planet Jupiter and stars is present in sky
not only at night but also at daytime as mixture with beams of Sun. Therefore
VISHNU is not night deity but celestial divine entity who personifies boundless
existence of light, as well as all heavenly gods of Vedic mythology.
Vedic deities SURYA, MITRA, VISHNU correspond with zodiacal signs of
fiery world elements and form in structure of astrological circle
spatial triangle which characterizes optical parameters which are caused
by different intensity of lighting radiation, that is shown on the next chart. Light of SURYA is bright and shrill radiation which blinds eyes. Light of MITRA is illuminative and blazing radiation of average intensity. Light of VISHNU is radiant and shining radiation of small intensity. Optical parameters of these Vedic gods can be correlated to different temperature of light. VISHNU - cold light. MITRA - warm light. SURYA - hot light. Because temperature parameters of light are connected with fiery elements of universe. |
ARYAMAN personifies clear and transparent light which have free
spreading in air space and can be appreciable when atmospheric pressure is high,
because zodiacal sign Gemini has Mercury as dominant planet which symbolizes
unlimited three-dimensional motion.
USHAS personifies sparkling lighting when movement of light beams in air
space refracts, because zodiacal sign Libra has the dominant planet Venus which is
a morning or evening star.
Light of this planet in beams of morning dawn or evening nightfall seems
sparkling or possible to tell shining. Because space near to horizon has
curvature in which there is optical refraction of rays.
ANSA personifies vast and gaping light which dissipates in space. Because
zodiacal sign Aquarius has dominating planet Uranus, that from the point of view
of astrology can be correlated to absent rays of light which dissipate and there
is an impression that the sky gapes when atmospheric pressure is low, that can
be seen on mountains. Or can be seen in that case when atmospheric pressure is
low but the sky is not closed by clouds.
Vedic deities ARYAMAN, USHAS, ANSA correspond with zodiacal
signs of air elements and form divine triangle which characterizes
optical parameters connected with different degrees of dispersion and
refraction of light in heavenly space, that is shown on the next chart. Light of ARYAMAN is clear and transparent as if particles of light stream are narrowed and run through permeable space with turbo speed when atmospheric pressure of air is high. Light of USHAS refracts and consequently seems sparkling and glistened. Light of ANSA dissipates and consequently seems gaping as if each particle of light stream extends and indistinct in space when atmospheric pressure is low. As a result of refraction and dispersion of light there can be various optical effects or illusions and mirages. Spatial dispersion and refraction are not caused by presence of water in the sky, namely not caused by humidity of atmosphere, but optical parameters depend on sizes of atmospheric pressure, because these gods correspond with zodiacal signs of air elements. |
VARUNA personifies pale and dim light which can be seen in
glossy luminescence of full moon which exalts in zodiacal sign Taurus.
Also this sign of zodiac has dominating Venus which is morning or evening star,
namely is visible in pale beams of sunrise or sunset.
Venus up to sunset at evening and after occurrence of the Sun above horizon
at morning seems pale, that corresponds with zodiacal sign Taurus. Unlike Venus
which can be seen after evening sunset and before Sun rising at morning when
light of this planet seems sparkling and corresponds with zodiacal sign Libra.
BHAGA personifies not clear and vague light, because zodiacal sign
Virgo has Mercury as exalting planet which possesses partial visibility in
morning or evening twilight. Namely Mercury on firmament is very near to the Sun and consequently his light
merges with solar beams and seems transparent, and if is visible then seems not
clear and vague, that in one case corresponds with zodiacal Gemini, and in the
second case with Virgo.
PUSHAN personifies brilliant and lucid light which seems displayed in a
crystal or projected in numerous mirrors, because zodiacal sign Capricorn has Saturn
as dominating planet which symbolizes cut-glass structures of visible world in
the view point of astrology.
Saturn is the gas giant alongside with Jupiter and consequently human eyesight
perceives light which is reflection of solar beams from surface and radiation of
this planet.
Zodiac sign Capricorn alongside with Saturn has Uranus as dominating planet
which too is the gas giant but is far from the sun or abroad of visual
perception. And consequently human sight does not perceive radiation of planet
Uranus, also does not see reflection of solar beams from surface.
In Roman mythology SATURN was ruler of the Golden Age when world validity
reigned and people were happy, and consequently planet Uranus can be correlated
with JANUS which was secondary ruler with SATURN.
Vedic gods VARUNA, BHAGA, PUSHAN correspond with
zodiacal signs of earth elements of universe and form in structure of
astrological circle divine triangle which characterizes optical
parameters caused by reflection of light, that is
shown on the next chart. Light of VARUNA is pale luminescence caused by reflection of solar beams by full Moon. Light of BHAGA is not clear luminescence caused by reflection of solar beams by planets when Moon is not full. Light of PUSHAN is a crystal luminescence caused by reflection of solar beams by planets during newmoon when Moon is invisible. Reflected light can be seen in heavenly space not only at night but also on day time sky when reflections of Moon and planets are connected to beams of the Sun. |
SAVITR personifies matte and wan light which can be seen when
Moon is visible on day time sky. Because Moon dominates in zodiacal sign Crab.
SAVITR personifies optical parameters of day time moonlight which seems wan or
matte, and VARUNA corresponds with night Moon which seems glossy.
VIVASVAT personifies foggy and gloomy light which seems veiled,
because zodiacal sign Scorpio has Pluto as dominant planet which is very far
from the Sun and symbolizes a space haze absorbing projections of solar beams.
Also VIVASVAT personifies gloomy sunlight during eclipses, because Sun exalts in
zodiacal sign Scorpio.
DHATR personifies indiscernible and disappearing or illusive light
which can be seen when heavenly waters are shown in space of physical reality of
universe and absorb beams of the Sun. Because zodiacal sign Pisces has Neptune
as dominating planet which from the point of view of astrology can be correlated
to illusions and optical phenomena which result from movement of light through
indiscernible and as if disappearing veil of transparent water.
Neptune alongside with Uranus is the gas giant who is far from the Sun and
consequently human sight does not perceive light of this planet. But however
reflection of solar beams from surface and own radiation of this planet are
present at heavenly space.
It is necessary to consider that occurrence of rainbows in the sky is caused by
atmospheric deities of Vedic mythology and not connected with heavenly gods.
Namely rainbows arises when the sky is sated by atmospheric moisture and as if
is glass prism through which there is movement of beams of the Sun, and
indiscernible and disappearing light of DHATR can be seen when heavenly waters
of metaphysical space of universe are shown within physical reality.
Vedic gods SAVITR, VIVASVAT, DHATR correspond with zodiacal signs on water world elements
and form in space of astrological circle divine triangle which
characterizes optical parameters caused by absorption of light,
that is shown on the next chart. Light of SAVITR is obvious when solar beams absorb own reflection from surface of the Moon. Light of VIVASVAT is obvious when cosmic space haze absorbs beams of the Sun. Light of DHATR is obvious as a result of display of metaphysical heavenly water in space of physical reality of the world. It is necessary to consider that clouds or fog are connected with atmospheric deities, but heavenly gods personify optical phenomena which can be visible not only in rainy damp days or nights but also when light extends in the dry and cloudless sky. As a result of absorption of light there can be various optical effects and illusions. |
Total twelve heavenly gods of Vedic mythology are symbolical image of astrological circle, and in essence form space of universe and fill the world with divine light which possesses qualities of zodiacal signs and planets, also has optical parameters caused by physical characteristics of four fundamental world elements, that is shown on the chart.
Four world elements form spatial cross which can be
correlated to quantum or corpuscular parameters and wave qualities of light. Horizontal axis of fire and water - quantum parameters of light. Vertical axis of air and earth - wave parameters of light. Elements of fire - original radiation of light - emitting. Elements of earth - fictitious radiation of light - reflection. Elements of air - complete displaying of light - refraction and dispersion. Elements of water - incomplete displaying of light - absorption. |
Radiation and displaying are basis of four principles for occurrence and
existence of light, that is equivalent to logic combinations of
universal forces Yang and Yin, namely to symbols of four digrams in the
context of Chinese canon of changes I-Jing.
Radiation - emitting -
reflection.
Displaying - absorption -
refraction and dispersion.
Principles of occurrence and existence of light can be accessible or
inaccessible to human perception, also can be insignificant, that
corresponds to optical parameters of planets in solar system, as shown
in the following chart.
-
Insignificant radiation - Moon - Mercury - Venus - Mars - Pluto -
Proserpine - Chiron.
These planets of solar system are dense heavenly bodies and consequently
radiation of light is insignificant or absent.
Accessible radiation - Sun - Jupiter - Saturn.
Sun is basic source of radiation which is accessible to perception by
human eyesight.
Jupiter and Saturn in space of solar system are gas giants and
consequently possess radiation of light which is accessible to
perception by human eyesight.
Inaccessible radiation - Uranus - Neptune.
Uranus and Neptune too are gas giants which possess radiation, but they
are located far from the Earth and consequently light of these planets
of solar system is inaccessible for perception by human eyesight.
Insignificant reflection - Sun - Chiron.
Reflection of light from surface of the sun is insignificant in
comparison with size of radiation.
Chiron is heavenly body which is located very near to the Sun, and
consequently reflection of light from surface of this planet has smaller
size rather than sunlight.
Accessible reflection - Moon - Mercury - Venus - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn.
These objects of solar system are visible as human eyesight perceives
solar beams which can be reflected from their surface.
Inaccessible reflection - Uranus - Neptune - Pluto - Proserpine.
These planets in space of celestial system are located far from the
Earth and are invisible, and consequently human eyesight does not
perceive solar beams which can be reflected from their surface.
Insignificant refraction and dispersion - Chiron.
Chiron does not possess radiation, also reflection of light from surface
of this planet has smaller size rather than sunlight and consequently
refraction and dispersion is insignificant.
Accessible refraction and dispersion - Sun - Moon - Mercury -
Venus - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn.
Refraction and dispersion of beams of the sun, also light of the Moon
and visible planets of solar system is accessible to perception by human eyesight.
Inaccessible refraction and dispersion - Uranus - Neptune - Pluto - Proserpine.
Refraction and dispersion of light of invisible planets of solar system
is inaccessible to perception by human sight. But dispersion of light of
the planet Uranus in some cases can be accessible to human perception.
Insignificant absorption - Mercury - Venus - Mars - Jupiter - Saturn.
Visible planets in space of solar system cannot absorb light.
Accessible absorption - Sun - Moon.
Radiation of Sun and the reflected luminescence of Moon absorb light of
planets, that is accessible to perception by human eyesight.
Inaccessible absorption - Uranus - Neptune - Pluto - Proserpine - Chiron.
Invisible planets in space of solar system absorb light, but this
absorption is inaccessible to perception by human eyesight. But in some
cases absorption of light by planets Neptune and Pluto, also Proserpine
can be apprehended as display of metaphysical heavenly waters and cosmic
haze, or dark energy and matter in space of physical reality of universe.
Uranus - Neptune absorb light as cold gas giants, namely this heavenly
bodies possess internal temperature which is greater rather than on
surface. Unlike heavenly bodies of Jupiter and Saturn which are hot gas
giants and cannot absorb light.
Chiron absorbs hot solar radiation because this planet is the heated to
a white heat celestial weight or drop of fusing substance.
Chiron is fusing liquid planet without strong surface which does not
reflect solar beams but absorbs light and consequently astronomers
cannot find this heavenly body.
Chiron is interconnected with Mercury as both planets are located near
to the Sun.
It is necessary to tell that Chiron in the context of contemporary
astronomy is asteroid or comet between orbits of Saturn and Uranus, also
this heavenly body has astronomical name of mythological centaur CHIRON.
But from the view point of astrology mythological centaur CHIRON should
be compared to the planet which in space of solar system is located
between Sun and Mercury.
Also it it is necessary to tell that Proserpine in the context of
contemporary astronomy is asteroid between orbits of Mars and Jupiter,
also this heavenly body has astronomical name of mythological goddess
PROSERPINE. But from the view point of astrology mythological goddess
PROSERPINE should be compared to the planet which in space of solar
system is located near to orbit of Pluto. Because PLUTON and PROSERPINE
in myths of ancient Rome are spouses and governors of empire of death.
In particular the name of mythological goddess PROSERPINE should belong
to the planet which has been found by contemporary astronomers on 2005
and is located a little bit further from the Sun rather than orbit of Pluto.
Also it is necessary to tell that the planet Uranus is invisible but is
located at border of visibility or at limits of visual perception, and
consequently this celestial object possesses optical parameters which
can be compared with quality of light of visible heavenly bodies.
The planet Uranus in the context of astrology is a symbol of heavenly
electricity which is invisible but can be accessible to perception as
electric or electromagnetic phenomena, and in particular as polar or
northern lights or Aurora Borealis and Australis.
It is necessary to mean that electric lightning are connected with
atmospheric deities of Vedic mythology, and heavenly gods personify
light which alongside with heavenly electricity is derivative of sunlight.
Also it is necessary to mean that heavenly electricity differs from fire
which exists in metaphysical space behind of human perception and
physical reality. Because in the context of Vedic mythology there is
deity AGNI who personifies fire of metaphysical space and does not
belong to hierarchical group of heavenly gods.
Also it is necessary to consider that light of this or that god is not
single in space of universe, because optical parameters of the sky are
caused by complex combination of heavenly divine entities. But light of
any one god can sometimes be the most appreciable, because planets are
mobile in space of twelve signs of zodiac.
According to different positions of planets in signs of zodiac in
astrological horoscopes and celestial birth maps it is possible to
identify specific features of visual perception, namely
psycho-physiological parameters according to which people perceive waves
and quantum corpuscles by light receptors of retina in eyes and nerves of brain.
Also it is possible to identify specific features of textural patterns
of irises or otherwise to tell celestial images of divine light in human
eyes, that can be actual from the view point of iridology and biometric
iris recognition of individualities.
Also can be interesting for connection of iridology with astrology, because irises of human eyes can
be correlated to astrological circle of twelve zodiacal signs which are
connected with images of heavenly gods in Vedic myths.
Or alongside with optical parameters of heavenly space it is possible to
consider temperature and humidity of air, also atmospheric pressure and
dynamics of air streams on surface of the Earth for prediction of
weather. Namely it is possible to consider parities not only heavenly
but also atmospheric and terrestrial gods of Vedic mythology with
zodiacal signs, that allows to predict changes of weather or calculate
astrological meteorological forecasts.
Read information about parities of atmospheric and terrestrial gods
of Vedic myths with zodiacal signs on following pages in this section of
website.
Following page compares atmospheric gods of Vedic myths to alphabetic letters and vowel sounds of speech of contemporary Russian language.
